OMNI-CORE

An innovative platform for personal care

What OMNI-CORE is

OMNI-CORE represents a new generation of personal care: a universal modular platform that separates the power source from the application logic. Its basis is an innovative power handle into which specialised interchangeable attachments are plugged. The handle supplies the energy, while all the intelligence and control of the application sits in the particular attachment.

The flagship application and the first product of the platform is an advanced dental device.

How OMNI-CORE came about

From frustration with badly designed products, through a consultation with a patent attorney and one hard objection that turned the concept around, to a solution. A story about wanting to do things sensibly and better.

Key innovations and user comfort

What the device does and what the user gets out of it — properties of the design, to be confirmed by testing on a prototype. The bullets are ordered by benefit; the first of them is the main innovation of the whole concept.

  • An adaptive cleaning trajectory (the main innovation): The cleaning motion adapts by itself to the current position in the mouth. The user selects no mode, switches no programmes and sets nothing — they simply move the brush across the teeth, and the device takes care of how the cleaning is done.
  • Operation without a single button: The drive starts up smoothly only as the bristles press gently against the teeth, and stops the moment the brush is lifted away. There is nothing to switch on, switch over or set, and the unwanted splattering of toothpaste is gone.
  • Isolated vibration for comfortable brushing: The brush oscillates; the rest of the attachment head moves far less. An unintended touch of the head against a gum or a tooth therefore does not feel unpleasant — and only a faint tremor reaches the palm.
  • Active protection of gums and teeth: Under excessive pressure the power of the device drops immediately to a safe level and is restored the instant the pressure is released.
  • A durable, hygienic handle: A smooth surface with no buttons and no screen, water-resistant to IPX8 and resistant to common household disinfectants. A brief rinse under hot water does it no harm. With the power module fitted it runs at full power even with a flat battery, thanks to pass-through power.
  • A platform, not a one-off product: The handle stays, the attachments change. All application logic sits in the attachment; the replaceable brush block fitted onto it is purely mechanical, with no electronics. What else can run on the same handle is shown in the card "One handle, many attachments".

Platform features at a glance

Ergonomics The motion is concentrated in the brush; the attachment head and the handle move far less, which adds to the comfort of brushing.
Hands-off operation No buttons and no screen at all. Automatic start and stop by gentle pressure against the teeth. No modes for the user to choose from.
Intelligent cleaning Dynamic change of the cleaning trajectory according to the position in the mouth, with no input from the user. The main innovation of the concept.
Gentleness to gums Immediate automatic reduction of output power once the safe pressure force is exceeded.
Durability and ingress protection IPX8. The design is intended to withstand disinfection with common household agents and a brief thermal shock up to 85 °C without loss of sealing. This is a design limit, to be confirmed by testing on a prototype.
Advanced power The battery is a standardised cell that can be replaced without breaching the shell; the replacement is carried out by a service shop, because the closing is followed by a leak test. Contactless charging in a stand with a removable USB-C travel module. Zero idle draw. With the power module fitted, immediate operation at full power even with a completely flat battery.
Modular architecture Attachments work immediately, with no pairing and no firmware update. Consumable brush blocks contain no electronics — low manufacturing cost in high volume.
Ultrasound (outlook) The concept allows for an extended variant of the attachment that would add ultrasound to mechanical cleaning. It is not part of the first product: it aims at the highest premium tier, and its efficacy and safety have to be verified separately.
Ecosystem A single handle as the basis for dental and cosmetic attachments; the possible applications are listed in the card "One handle, many attachments". Therapeutic attachments are an outlook for the platform, not part of the first product.

One handle, many attachments

The handle supplies energy and carries no application logic, so it is not tied to a single application: any attachment that fits its power and mechanical envelope can run on it. Two things follow for the user. A second device costs no more than the attachment — no battery, no charger, no second power source. And a device needed once a week does not sit flat in a drawer, because it draws its energy from the handle used every day.

Possible applications in personal care, beyond the dental attachment, ordered by benefit to the user:

  • a children's version of the dental attachment,
  • a shaver with a beard trimmer — two equal functions of a single attachment,
  • an epilator,
  • foot care — removing hardened skin with a replaceable abrasive disc,
  • an interdental and single-tuft attachment, a tongue scraper, a gum massage block — in part simply different replaceable blocks on the dental attachment,
  • a facial cleansing brush and a cosmetics applicator,
  • a rotary bit and nail polishing,
  • scalp massage and cleansing,
  • an ultrasonic spatula for pore cleansing,
  • a travel UV-C cover for consumable blocks — instead of a bulky case with a battery of its own,
  • at-home tooth polishing with a rubber cup,
  • a cleaner for dentures, braces and splints.

The list is open-ended and it is a possibility, not a promise: the first product is the dental attachment, and further attachments will follow according to demand.

Market potential and positioning

OMNI-CORE aims at demanding users; the target group is defined by expectations, not by budget. The benchmark of quality is the best toothbrushes one can buy today. In price, however, the basic model without ultrasound aims at the bracket of the competitors' basic models: the user does not pay for features they do not need, and mechanically simple consumable blocks are cheap to manufacture.

Why the dental attachment as the first product

Choosing the dental attachment as the platform's first product follows a clear commercial and development logic:

  • A mass market with a daily need: An electric toothbrush is an everyday item and its sales volume is an order of magnitude higher than that of specialised personal-care devices. Demand is established and does not have to be created.
  • An ideal brand carrier: A product the customer picks up twice a day and which visibly improves the experience builds strong loyalty to the OMNI-CORE brand.
  • Differentiation you can demonstrate in the hand: The difference that carries the product is not the feature list, but the adaptive cleaning trajectory and operation without a single button. Should it prove on a prototype that the solution genuinely surpasses the competition, that is an argument the customer grasps on first use — not a specification that has to be explained in an advertisement.
  • Fast market entry (phase 1): A first version without ultrasound shortens the route to a working prototype and to first revenue: it leaves aside the questions of efficacy and safety that ultrasound raises in home use.
  • Strategic phase 2 (ultrasound): An extended variant of the attachment with ultrasound aims at the top of the range and at a higher margin, once its efficacy and safety have been verified on a prototype and its operating parameters tuned.
  • A cheap consumable part: The replaceable brush block is mechanically simple and contains no electronics, so its manufacturing cost is low. The difference can be taken as a lower price for the customer, as a higher margin, or split between the two — and that choice is an advantage in itself.
  • Scalability into other sectors: Proven technologies and the name of the brand may open the door to derived platforms in cosmetics or in premium household appliances.

Project status and the partner sought

The project has been worked out to the stage of a detailed technical design of the concept; what remains is to verify the assumptions on a prototype. I am looking for a strong strategic partner — an investor, a manufacturer or an established player in the field — with capital, manufacturing and distribution backing, and management capacity.

What I expect from a partner:

  • Own experience with an electric toothbrush: Anyone who uses one every day will grasp the benefit of OMNI-CORE at once, without explanation.
  • An eye for engineering innovation: The ability to appreciate a clever design solution rather than yet more electronic features.
  • Competence in patent protection: Experience with international patent proceedings, so that the intellectual property is secured in time.
  • Genuine enthusiasm: A willingness to enter a partnership built on a shared vision — to transform the personal-care market.

Detailed technical materials and specifications will be provided by personal arrangement.
